A Luxembourg start-up makes German neighbourhoods mobile
룩셈부르크 테크 스타트업 엑사모티브(Examotive)
룩셈부르크 테크 스타트업 엑사모티브(Examotive)는 혁신적 자동차 공유 솔루션으로 출시 1년 만에 독일에서 자동차 430대를 확보하며 성공적인 운영을 하고 있다. 또한 룩셈부르크를 유럽 시장 진출을 위한 전진 기지로 활용하고 있다.
Luxembourg start-up Examotive has designed an innovative and flexible car sharing solution that is quick and easy to use. One year after its commercial launch, the company successfully operates a fleet of 430 cars in Germany and uses Luxembourg as its base for further expansion into other European markets.

영국 파이낸셜 타임즈(Financial Times)는 최근 룩셈부르크에 대한 특별 보고서를 발행했다.
이 보고서는 “지속 가능한 성장을 위한 경쟁의 틈새(niches for sustainable growth)”에 초점을 맞추고, 우주 산업 및 과학 연구에 대한 룩셈부르크의 포부에 대해 다루고 있다.
The Financial Times have published a special report on Luxembourg, outlining the country's ambition to focus on "competence niches" for sustainable growth and to think new in order to host its rapidly increasing population.

University of Luxembourg plays central role in major EU cybersecurity initiative
룩셈부르크 대학교, EU 사이버보안 이니셔티브의 중추 역할
룩셈부르크 대학교(University of Luxembourg)는 유럽연합집행위원회(European Commission)가 출범시킨 사이버보안 역량 네트워크(Cybersecurity Competence Networks) 에 활발하게 참여하며 이 분야의 전문성을 인정받고 있다.
The University of Luxembourg is the only organisation in Europe participating in three of the four Cybersecurity Competence Networks launched by the European Commission last week, a strong mark of recognition for its expertise in this field.

Luxembourg 9th most liveable city for European expats
룩셈부르크시, 전세계에서 9번째로 살기 좋은 도시
글로벌 인력자원 컨설팅업체 ECA 인터네셔널(ECA International)이 발표한 ‘글로벌 생활 거주적합성 순위 2019(Global liveability ranking 2019)’에서 룩셈부르크시가 전세계 9위에 올랐다. 유럽에 거주하는 외국인들을 대상으로 시행된 조사의 궁극적 목적은 전세계 480개 도시의 삶의 질을 평가하는 것이다.
The ranking take into account criteria such as accommodation, infrastructure, personal security and health services.

Pitch Your Start-up: €100,000 in prize money to boost your business
룩셈부르크 스타트업 경연대회 Pitch your startup: 10만 유로 상당의 상금에 도전하세요
유럽 ICT와 핀테크 산업 허브인 룩셈부르크에서 유망 스타트업들을 지원하기 위한 스타트업 경연 대회 ‘Pitch your startup’이 개최된다. 올해로 5년째인 이번 대회는 스타트업들의 온라인 지원을 받아 본선 진출 기업을 선발하며, ICT SPRING 박람회 기간 내 개최되는 본선 경연에서 발표를 통해 선발된 최종 우승자에게는 10만 유로의 상당의 상금이 주어진다.
The 5th edition of Pitch Your Start-up will take place on 21 May 2019. Local and international start-ups can already apply online to try to win the €100,000 prize. Participation is free of charge.

룩셈부르크 대학교, 2019년 9월부터 우주 석사 과정 운영
룩셈부르크 대학교(University of Luxembourg)가 오는 2019년 9월부터 2년제 학제간 우주 석사 과정을 운영한다. 석사 과정 개설 목적은 역동적인 우주 산업이 필요로 하는 인재를 양성하는 것이다.
In September 2019, the University of Luxembourg will launch a two-year interdisciplinary Space Master programme. The aim of the programme is to generate a talent pool of highly skilled engineers and innovative entrepreneurs who will be able to create and manage leading commercial space enterprises.

Luxembourg sets up first European partnership on artificial intelligence with NVIDIA
룩셈부르크 정부, 엔비디아와 협력해 국립 AI 연구소 설립
룩셈부르크 정부와 미국 반도체 업체 엔비디아(NVIDIA)가 국립 인공지능(AI) 연구소 설립을 위해 협력한다.
The Luxembourg government, the country’s scientific community and NVIDIA will create a joint research laboratory for artificial intelligence (AI). Focusing on using AI and high performance computing to search for solutions to major societal challenges, the collaboration will also be successively opened to industrial companies and start-ups.
